Please note that the scheduled start time for for the first events on Tuesday and Wednesday is 8:30am. The weapon that is scheduled to start second in the day will commence at 11:00am.

URGENT COMMUNICATION TO ALL COMPETING NATIONS:

REFEREEING

Following a decision reached at the 2010 CFF Annual Meeting in Melbourne, we will be implementing a proposal made by the Member Nations regarding refereeing at CFF Championships. The CFF Technical Commission will be identifying and selecting a cadre of FIE Qualified referees to officiate in Jersey. This project is being implemented on a trial basis and means that, at this event, no delegation needs to provide referees. The Member Nations indicated that this would allow for a more equitable distribution of the overall cost of providing referees as each and every participant would this way share equally in the costs. Based on each delegation’s total number of entries, the Member Nations participating will be charged a refereeing levy that will represent their share of the refereeing costs. The Technical Commission will make the necessary arrangements to secure the services of the required referees. The exact amount of each participating Member Nations’ levy will be communicated to them as soon as final numbers have been determined (deadline date for submission of entries is December 21st).

Dear Commonwealth Fencing Family,

On behalf of Jersey Fencing we extend an invitation to the Junior fencers of the Commonwealth to attend the Commonwealth Junior Fencing Championships to be conducted in St Helier, Jersey. The Opening Ceremony is on 12th February 2012. Competition dates are 13th to 17th February 2012.
